Walk into to Phoenician Kabob, the eatery that moved into the old Ivy Cafe spot at Colfax Avenue and Ivy Street nearly 10 months ago, and you might be tempted to turn around and walk right out. But don’t.

This quiet restaurant, run by Ibrahim Dahleh, may not be much to look at (or its service anything to stay for), but it serves up a solid menu of Middle Eastern and Lebanese fare that, after a busy day, makes for a quick, affordable dinner.
Park Hill, Mayfair, and even Stapleton families can easily stop by–or better yet, call for delivery–for familiar dishes like gyros, falafel sandwiches, and tabbouleh salad. Whatever the order, be sure to ask for pita, much of which is delivered from Haji Baba, an authentic pita bakery across the street.
