The Garden is an Academy-Award-nominated documentary about a community effort in Los Angeles that helped to inspire healing after the 1992 riots. It shows how transformative gardens can be to cities, as well as the battle between urban farmers and the developers who wanted to bulldoze the garden in L.A.
The film starts at 6 p.m. and will be shown in the B2 Level Conference Center at the Central Library.
