Once dubbed President Dwight Eisenhower’s summer White House, Cherry Hills Country Club’s ability to entertain big names will come in handy next month when it hosts the BMW Championship (September 1 to 7), Colorado’s first PGA event in eight years. Seventy of the world’s best golfers (be on the lookout for Jimmy Walker and Bubba Watson) will tackle four rounds on the iconic course. As spectators, we’re hoping for an epic come-from-behind win reminiscent of Arnold Palmer’s victory here over Jack Nicklaus in the 1960 U.S. Open. bmwchampionshipusa.com
