The Denver Nuggets clinched the Northwest Division title last night, beating the Sacramento Kings 118-98, a game that was closer than the score would suggest. The Nuggets trailed at several points in the game, but guard J.R. Smith came through in a career night, scoring 45 points–23 of them in the fourth quarter, according to The Denver Post, which notes that Smith claimed a team-record with 11 three-pointers.
The Nuggets can clinch the second seed in the Western Conference with a win in Portland Wednesday night.
