Just off the Colorado Trail in Cottonwood Pass, Beaver Pond bursts with colors below the towering Mount Yale. Near Buena Vista, the Collegiate Peak is named after the Ivy League school and sits at 14,200 feet. It still hosted snow over Memorial Day Weekend. —Derek Kessinger
