I’ve been following the case of Royal ‘Scoop’ Daniel III , the missing Breckenridge lawyer. It’s a strange one. He got to work at 5:35 a.m., made some phone calls and engaged in banking transactions, and after 7:30 a.m., was never heard from again. Who’s up for chatting at that hour? So far, there hasn’t been any progress in finding him and police don’t know whether he met with foul play, has a psychological condition or deliberately disappeared. I find this new clue of a 911 call ominous:
The Breckenridge Police Department said someone made a call from Daniel’s cell phone at 7:48 a.m. on April 27. The 911 call was received at the cell tower closest to his office at 130 Ski Hill Road. The call lasted 9 seconds. Nothing was said by the caller. Summit County Dispatch called the number back but only received voicemail.

There’s no record of calls to or from the cell phone after the 911 call. There’s video of him entering but not leaving the building. If you have any information, here’s the community page set up for his case, with all the contact information.
