5280.com Exclusive: The beginnings of life can be the most difficult for women in rural Ethiopia. The severe lack of medical facilities, practioners, and equipment leads to life-threatening issues in pregnancy and childbirth. Denver dermatologist Margaret “Migs” Muldrow (who grew up in Ethiopia; read more about her here) and the nonprofit Village Health Partnership focus on improving these medical systems, Now, Muldrow’s clinic is offering Denverites a way to give back (and freshen up for spring).
On May 17, Muldrow’s dermatology clinic will host Beauty Day. You can indulge in deeply discounted treatments such as facials, makeup, botox, peels, and a variety of other services with 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefitting the Village Health Partnership. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Muldrow’s office at 303-830-2900. The proceeds will help VHP’s efforts to build a maternity halfway house and a health center. —Lindsey R.
