A little more than a year old, Mrs. B’s Tea Parlor is one of the newer eateries in historic downtown Littleton, but it fits right in with the cozy, small-town charm. Housed in a 119-year-old Victorian and filled with trickly-sweet pink walls and the requisite lace curtains, this spot makes you feel as if you’re inside a child’s dollhouse.
There’s a long list of teas, of course (the passion fruit and huckleberry are especially worth lingering over), but the menu expands beyond sips and scones. Look for homemade soups, quiche, light salads such as the berries and cream spinach salad (with raspberries and strawberries), and sandwiches, like my favorite, the honeyed-ham-and-cheese grilled panino.
Bonus: Perfect for afternoon tea with the girls, Mrs. B’s can also be rented for bridal and baby showers, children’s parties, and book clubs.
