Birther Bust: Terry Lakin, the U.S. Army doctor who refused to deploy to Afghanistan because he doesn’t believe President Obama is a U.S. citizen, was released from military confinement this weekend (7News). Supporters of the Greeley native were asked to donate to Lakin’s family, which is suffering financially as a result of his “commitment to the conspiracy” (Colorado Independent).

Second Coming: You might think Enrique Chigoya would be hesitant to show his art in Loveland after a crowbar-wielding woman smashed one of his works there last fall. But the California-based man is nearly finished with a portrait of Jesus Christ he’s painting for a local church (Reporter-Herald).
