Mystery meats and funky purees are a thing of the past for babies around the Denver metro area. And so are parents scurrying around the kitchen trying to whip up some homemade eats for little palates, thanks to Denver’s first baby food delivery service—Baby Fresh Organics.
If you put in your online order by 3 p.m. during the weekdays, you’ll have dinner for your little ones to your table, well, by dinnertime. The web orders are placed through SupperBell, the local delivery service from the well-loved Denver restauranteur, Frank Bonanno. The menu ranges from beet puree to a chicken/pumpkin/butternut squash blend, to a braised beef, carrots, and sweet potato plate—and it’s available for new eaters as well as kids already using their own forks. The menu changes weekly and focuses on both seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients. “It’s all about having fresh, chef-inspired, nutrient-packed options that are made and delivered the same day,” says Barclay Miller, who co-founded the company with his wife Randi.
The purees run less than $5 with toddler and kid meals topping out at $7.45. The organic ingredients include whole food carbohydrates, high-quality proteins, and fresh vegetables that create well-balanced options for children at each stage. The company kicks off delivery this week to an approximate radius of I-70 to the north, I-225 to the east, and C-470 to the west and south this week—but the borders are likely to grow with Boulder becoming a possibility in the near future. If you have a little one and live in Denver, it’s time to say bye bye to store-bought jars of mystery and hello to Baby Fresh Organics.
