Denver native and entrepreneur Corey Epstein knows that men outside of Los Angeles and New York like to be style-savvy, too. But most guys beyond the fashion capitals don’t want to blow an entire paycheck on one item or spend hours combing through the racks for wardrobe looks that are just the right combination of sharp and casual. So Epstein came up with a solution: 20jeans.com, an online retail site—Epstein pulls his inventory from small designers and occasionally big names with overstock—with a plethora of items for just $20. (The company is also working with designers to create a set of 20Jeans brand clothing.)
Inspired by the “fast fashion” model of stores like H&M, 20Jeans gets new product to its customers quickly while maintaining the highly curated and on-trend feel of the merchandise. From T-shirts and a variety of jean cuts to flannel shirts and hoodies, 20Jeans focuses on updated basics that mix and match effortlessly, which helps guys avoid any misguided guesswork. Plus, maintaining the business online helps keep prices reasonable. His recommendation for spring shopping? A pair of super-soft skinny-fit chinos. They’re “ridiculously comfortable,” Epstein says, and pair well with—what else?—a simple tee.
