The Gist: Count on Matthew Williamson to interpret a season on his own terms. For spring, Williamson manages to hit the season’s trends while sticking to his own aesthetic of bright colors and prints. Featuring: The show’s opening look–a hot pink jacket paired with super-skinny cropped pants–says it all. And the clothes just become sexier and more colorful from there: slightly round minis, little vests with elongated lapels, mid-thigh strapless dresses, and fitted and cropped jackets–all in either florals or bright pink and orange hues. Williamson indulges his love of slightly psychedelic, colorful, blown-up prints in maxi dresses, caftans, and tunic tops–some with beading and embroidery–mixed with black leather skirts and studded belts by the end of the show. The “It” Factor For Denver:
This collection is not for the faint of heart. Items like the skinny cropped pants in orange and pink are hot, as are the wildly printed maxi dresses and caftans.
