U.S. Senator Mark Udall has been appointed to two committees identical to two of those he most recently held in the House, according to The Washington Post.
Udall, a Democrat who replaces retiring Wayne Allard, is slated to sit on the Armed Services and the Energy and Natural Resources committees. The appointments are subject to negotiations after the Republicans select their leadership.
