The most tattoos ever given by a single artist in a 24-hour period is 801. That record was achieved about two years ago by Hollis Cantrell of Artistic Tattoo in Phoenix, Arizona, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Now, a local artist, who goes by the name Kaos, will attempt to break that record on New Year’s Eve—and for a good cause, to boot. Beginning at 12:01 on December 31 and lasting until the end of the first minute of 2011, Kaos, who works for P66 Tattoo and Art Galleria, will aim to buzz out 900 tatts, including one on himself, to raise awareness for breast cancer, reports 9News.
People who plunk down $10 for the cause will receive a tattoo of a 3.5-inch-by-one-inch pink ribbon, and 60 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The rest will cover the costs of the event, which will take place at the Hyatt-Regency in the Denver Tech Center at 7800 East Tufts Ave., the same site as the White Rose Gala. And that New Year’s Eve bash is hosted by Kevin Larson, whom The Denver Post calls “Denver’s number one party boy.”
