The Gist: Rose is well known for her ladies-who-lunch day wear and respectable party dresses, but for spring she adds chic, sporty separates to her repertoire. Featuring: Rose works subtle prints (Ikats, checks, and stripes) into relaxed shift-dresses, tunics, and above-the-knee skirts, while slouchy, rolled-up pants, a couple of silk track jackets, and well-cut shorts in yellow, orange, and blue round out her sportswear. Of course, no Lela Rose show would be complete without the designer’s signature, ladylike day and evening dresses, which continue the collection’s color and print story. The”‘It” Factor For Denver:
Even though Rose delivers with her trademark dresses, it’s her sportswear that really shines. Favorite looks include an cropped orange jacket paired with a checked blouse and Ikat-print skirt, as well as a silk track jacket, striped T-shirt and checked shorts.
