The colorful song-and-dance images from India’s romantic dramas are paving the way for Denver’s latest dance-exercise craze: Bollywood-style classes that mix traditional Hindi dance and hip-hop.
“Students swing their hips, raise one hand to their mouths as if calling out to a lover, and then lift one leg and hop forward in a line,” according to The Associated Press, which reports that the Oscar-nominated film Slumdog Millionaire appears to be helping fuel the trend.
