The Colorado Rockies could win the division if only they play every remaining game on the road. The team kept rolling last night, besting the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2, its second consecutive win over the Brewers and its seventh straight win on the road. Three fifth-inning doubles, and home runs from shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and right fielder Brad Hawpe, pulled the Rockies out of an early 2-0 deficit, and they never looked back, writes The Denver Post.
The Rockies can match the longest road-winning streak in team history with a third win tonight in Milwaukee, Sports Illustrated points out.
Game coverage from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel includes this Captain Obvious gem from Brewers manager Ken Macha: “If you only get two runs and they score three, they’re going past you.”
Thanks for clearing that up for us.
