Denver City Councilwoman Judy Montero also got in the act:

Hickenlooper followed Denver City Councilwoman Judy Montero, who wore a black and white dress but no shoes, as she went down the slide with arms raised above her head.

The two high-fived each other while standing waist deep in the pool, which was reopened Friday after a yearlong renovation. More than 150 people, including at least 80 children, were on hand.
