H Burger’s Strawberry-Mint Shake

Even if you haven’t eaten at H BurgerCO, the month-old burger shop on 16th Street Mall, you’ve likely heard of it—or at least the milk shakes. The hype is warranted.

With shake flavors as tempting as Nutella-marshmallow or chocolate-peanut-butter fudge, it would be easy to overlook the simple-sounding strawberry-mint. And that would be a shame, because this treat—fresh strawberries blended with zesty mint leaves—tastes of spring. The mint is subtle but detectable enough to elevate the flavor from ho-hum to yum.

Bonus: All of H Burger’s milk shakes are chilled with liquid nitrogen, which creates an intensely creamy texture that’s more akin to frozen custard than ice cream.
