The quiet(er) moments between summer travel season and winter ski season are upon us. Translation: less traffic on I-70 and some killer lodging deals at Colorado resorts. Take advantage of the shoulder season with these epic discounts:
The Stanley Hotel, Estes Park
Through the end of the year, come for a midweek vacation (Monday through Thursday) and take 15 percent off a one-night stay. Add more nights and you can subtract 25 percent from the reservation price. While you’re there, don’t forget to visit the hotel’s new 10,100-square-foot maze, inspired by The Shining.
Hotel Jerome, Aspen
This swank-yet-quaint Aspen hotel shows locals a little love with its Colorado Locals Appreciation offer. Now through December 14, Coloado residents get a nightly rate of $150 plus complimentary parking (that’s more than $100 off the regular rate). Check out our First-Timer’s Guide to find out where to eat, drink, and play in this beautiful mountain town.
Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort, Nathrop
Snag 40 percent off your stay at this classic Arkansas River Valley resort most weekdays during November. In December, if you stay for two nights, you’ll get the second half price.
Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, Beaver Creek
Put on the Ritz starting at $159 (plus $30 resort fee) at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch through the end of the month.
The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs
Beginning in November, this historic luxury hotel offers discounts all winter with its Spectacular Winter Savings program. Rooms start at $109 and include 20 percent off green fees, discounts at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and free meals for kids younger than 10. Don’t miss the hotel’s new restaurant, 1858, located at Seven Falls.
