Von Miller’s Celebrity Steak-Out: Join the bespectacled linebacker as he works to tackle gaps in children’s eyesight coverage. Support Von’s Vision—which provides free eye exams, frames, and lenses to kids—while enjoying a glass of wine and bidding on luxurious getaways, including trips to Las Vegas, Aspen, and Cabo San Lucas. Lots of Broncos players are likely to attend and personally deliver signed jerseys that will also be up for grabs. Bonus: with no refs around, Miller might just show off his recently banned sack dance. Monday, 7 to 9:30 p.m.; The Ritz-Carlton, Denver, 1881 Curtis St.; $250–$350
Conscious Alliance’s Art That Feeds Harvest Celebration: The calories don’t count if it’s for a good cause. Chow down on a delicious feast created by 12 of Boulder’s top chefs and give food to children on American Indian reservations at the same time. Proceeds support Conscious Alliance’s youth initiatives, including the Backpack Program, which sends schoolchildren home with a backpack filled with healthy food and pamphlets about nutrition and exercise, and the Garden Program, which gives students on reservations the chance to learn about nutritional foods by growing their own community gardens. Thursday, 6 to 9:30 p.m.; eTown Hall, 1535 Spruce St., Boulder; $125
Father Woody’s Haven of Hope Annual Fundraising Dinner: Honor the volunteers who run this shelter—which provides private showers, laundry, meals, and even massages to Denver’s homeless—by helping Father Woody’s continue its mission. Football legend and philanthropist Lou Holtz will deliver the keynote speech after dinner and a silent auction complete with vacation packages, spa trips, and antique photographs. Saturday, 5 to 9:30 p.m.; Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, 650 15th St.; $150
Glitz & Glam Fall Gala 2015: Getting dressed up never felt so good. Don your sleekest gown or your snazziest suit and go out in support of Denver’s kids. Proceeds raised from the swanky soirée will benefit charities chosen by the women of the Rocky Mountain chapter of Active 20-30, who have thrown their support behind groups like Girls on the Run, Smart-Girl, and Hope House of Colorado in the past. Saturday, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.; Forney Museum of Transportation, 4303 Brighton Blvd.; $75–$85
