In our June issue, we brought you a comprehensive list of the Denver-area’s Top Dentists. But dental health doesn’t end with the annual visit, as many kids need potentially cost-prohibitive orthodontic treatment. The Colorado Orthodontic Foundation (COF) helps bring healthy smiles to needy families through reduced-rate orthodontic care.
COF works with a network of 46 local orthodontists—including some that were included in our Top Dentists list—who volunteer their time to treat patients in their offices. Five of those orthodontists also work pro bono in monthly clinic days in Denver and Colorado Springs.
“Getting kids into braces is such a gift,” says Alexandra Gage, the foundation’s managing director. Gage points out that for many children, orthodontic care is about more than straight teeth. It can solve health issues and give kids the self-confidence to succeed. “It’s touching that we can be such a part of change in a kid’s life.”
Get Involved: Help the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation give winning smiles to needy kids by making a donation today and encourage your family orthodontist to volunteer their time.
