Duluth Trading Company, a Midwestern clothing and recreation store, opened a 20,000-square-foot brick-and-mortar in Thornton last week. Founded nearly three decades ago in Duluth, Minnesota, the brand’s ethos is functional work and lifestyle apparel that appeals to anyone familiar with dirt-smudged knees and elbow grease: gardeners, brewmasters, bike commuters, farmers, ceramicists, carpenters, anglers, outdoor recreationalists, and so on.
Duluth Trading Company’s Colorado location is its furthest west store to date. Over the past several years, the company has experienced rapid growth—and for good reason. Designs are created to withstand variable, hardcore weather conditions, tough work, and a lifestyle full of movement. The brand also has a sense of humor, such what might be the world’s funniest underwear commercials and the Longtail T-shirt, which was created to solve the infamous problem of plumber’s crack.
Aside from base-layers and outerwear, you’ll find tools, board games, travel luggage and hygienic products inside Duluth Trading Company’s Thornton digs. We recently visited to see what all they had to offer. Check out the slideshow below for eight of our top picks for gals and guys.
