Three candidates for the 7th Congressional District seat being vacated by Bob Beauprez announced their quarterly fundraising totals today.
Peggy Lamm issued a press release, which I received by e-mail, saying she raised $162,000 during the first quarter of 2006. She also says a recent poll shows her to be in the lead:
In a poll conducted in February, in the three way match-up, Lamm is favored by 33% of likely voters, compared to 17% for Ed Perlmutter and 1% for Herb Rubenstein (The survey of 400 likely primary voters was conducted for the Lamm campaign from February 16-20 by RBI Strategy and Research. The margin of error for the survey is +/- 4.87%.)
Peggy has a new campaign manager, Jim Merlino.
Ed Perlmutter, however, raised more during the quarter: $187,180. Ed also received the backing of the Colorado Education Association today
But Republican candidate Rick O’Donnell raised the most of all: $286,788.
Herb Rubenstein, another Democratic contender, hasn’t yet filed his return.
