Narciso Rodriguez works a long silhouette in fitted or body-skimming shapes into a military theme for his fall collection. From beautifully tailored coats and jackets to intricately seamed dresses, Rodriguez’s minimalist style is always a sophisticated and sleek take on the season’s trends.
The Gist: Rodriguez opens with a palette of beige, black, and white in tightly constructed zip-up coats, military jackets, and lean pants. From there, the collection evolves into curvy dresses, lustrous tops, and fitted jackets in graphic prints like a black-and-white camouflage (an interesting fabric combination comes in a balloon-skirted camo-print dress with tulle overlay) and a starry night sky.
That's only $1 per issue!
The theme is continued with a series of coats and sporty zip-up jackets that are given an armor effect with a shiny, silk panel spliced into the midriff. But Rodriguez lets up just enough on his modern-warrior refrain to introduce brights like yellow, pink, and orchid in sexy, second-skin dresses.
