In case you haven’t been tuning in, Denver’s own Mondo Guerra (pictured) is competing on Project Runway All Stars this season. Watch through the finale on March 22 to see if he gets swindled out of a win for a second time. And if that isn’t enough Mondo for you, join the designer Wednesday, February 8 for Goodwill’s second-annual Good Exchange Clothing Swap & Fashion Show, where he’ll be judging a student fashion competition and auctioning off an original outfit from his own collection.
The Boulder shopping scene got a boost last week with the opening of Free People on the Pearl Street Mall. Fans can find the latest in boho street chic at the brand’s third store in Colorado. 1200 Pearl St., Boulder, 303-245-0075 (between Weekends and Boulder Furniture Arts).
More news on Project Runway alums: Season 9’s Fallene Wells launched her own Kickstarter campaign last month to raise funds to locally design and produce a 12-piece collection. Help Wells meet her goal by February 22 and raise awareness of Denver’s design community by donating here. Tip: Catch Wells and seven other Project Runway designers on March 30 at the Denver Art Museum’s “Untitled #45 (Haute)” show where the runway will feature Yves Saint Laurent–inspired designs. The fashion show is sold out, but general tickets are still available to “Untitled.”
