As the last unofficial month of the summer season gets underway, Denver’s fashionistas intend to go out in style with plenty of parties. Here’s a roundup of August’s major shindigs:
One of the most anticipated events of every summer season is the Riverfront Park Fashion Show. Come rain or shine, on Saturday, August 11, Denverites will be treated to a fashion show hosted by Garbarini (showing Halston Heritage and Tracy Reese) and Mariel (showing Alberto Makali), along with food and cocktails from Coohills, Fogo de Chão, Zengo, and the soon-to-open Al Lado, plus dessert from Happy Cakes Bakeshop. The evening’s proceeds benefit the Denver Health Foundation.

Join local Project Runway alum Fallene Wells on August 24 as she unveils her new Fall Friperie capsule collection (pictured above). Inspired by 1930s newsboy looks, the line is vintage-inspired but easily mixes with today’s wardrobe staples, making it functional for modern-day girls. Items will be available for (a limited-run) order or purchase at the event, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Mile High Red Cross.
Tickets are $35 and available at fallene.net.

One of the leading lingerie boutiques in Denver—indeed, in the entire country—SOL is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month. On August 29, guests can meet co-owners and sisters Cindy Johnson (the expert fitter) and Jeanie Peterson (the business brain) while sipping champagne, indulging in desserts, and taking advantage of in-store promotions. The evening will benefit the Morgan Adams Foundation, which raises funds and awareness for pediatric cancer.
