Here’s hoping the snow doesn’t dampen turnout at Magness Arena tomorrow when the University of Denver hosts its first-ever home game on ESPN2. The 16-7 Pioneers—coming off a one-point loss Thursday to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette—will play the 20-3 Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. Tipoff is at 2 p.m.
The nationally televised game is DU’s third consecutive game against a team in this week’s Mid-Major Top 25. The Pioneers, which had been ranked No. 25 last week, dropped out of the poll and have lost three of its past four games. Despite the recent losses, Denver still has the Sun Belt Conference’s second-best overall record—behind Middle Tennessee—and is only a game-and-a-half behind the University of Arkansas-Little Rock for the conference’s west division lead.
Tickets for Saturday’s game are available through the University of Denver.
