Fall 2010 is shaping up to be a fantastic season, with designers working an expansive range of styles for women. From urban layers that channel an updated ’90s grunge vibe to luxurious suiting, ladies will have the opportunity to change looks often and still be on-trend. But the best part of the upcoming season is checking out the new lines Denver’s retailers are bringing to town. Here’s a look at just a few of the collections we’re excited to see this fall:
New York designer Richard Chai’s secondary line—Love—arrives courtesy of fashion-forward Greenwood Village boutique A.Line. His grunge-inspired fall collection features outstanding jackets (pictured) and long skirts, along with layered T-shirts and knitwear. The Row, the Olsen twins’ primary collection of minimal, beautifully cut pieces, is finally coming to the Mile High City. Look to The Row for clean lines, neutral tones, and seasonless wardrobe separates–such as slouchy trousers, wrap coats, leather T-shirts, and silk slipdresses–all to mix and match. Lawrence Covell, 225 Steele St., 303- 320-1023, lawrencecovell.com. The Batallion maintains an edgy, bohemian vibe that nevertheless places a premium on comfort. Featuring a mix of easy-fitting basics along with well-tailored jackets and tops, this Los Angeles-based line works in eco-friendly fabrics like organic cotton, recycled polyester, and cruelty-free silk. Look for a moody palette of black, gray, camel, and ivory in key items like draped tops, faux-fur-trimmed jackets, and vests. Evey K, The Lowry Town Center, 200 N. Quebec St., 303-364-0903, eveyk.com. Knitwear is the core of every fall/winter wardrobe, and contemporary brand Qi never fails to deliver chic, urban, cashmere pieces at an affordable price. Qi’s fall collection includes rib turtlenecks, cable-knit dresses, boyfriend cardigans, and draped sweaters. Ella Bleu, Village Shops at the Landmark, 5425 Landmark Place, 720-859-3111, ellableuboutique.com; and The Garment District, 2595 S. Colorado Blvd., 303-757-3371, garmentdistrictcolorado.com.
