The Local newsletter is your free, daily guide to life in Colorado. For locals, by locals.
Here in our sports-crazy town, one of the world’s most popular sports is often overlooked. But Denver is making up for that oversight this weekend, as the 2009 Churchill Cup Rugby Tournament begins at Infinity Park in Glendale (via 9News). Teams from all over the world will descend on the field, the first stadium in the U.S. built specifically for rugby.
Matches will be held June 6, 10, and 14 at Infinity Park, and then end on June 21 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. With the dismal play of the Colorado Rockies, you might as well head down to Glendale to see where football’s roots lead.

5280 is here to guide you through Denver—where to eat, drink, and travel in and around the city.
