On Monday, August 22, the Denver City Council will hold a hearing to discuss the Alcohol-Marijuana Equalization Initiative, which would remove criminal penalties for adult marijuana possession. Supporters of the initiative would like people to call their council member. They suggest the following comment:
“I support the Alcohol-Marijuana Equalization Initiative because I think that prosecuting responsible adults who use marijuana is a waste of taxpayer dollars and law enforcement resources. I hope that you will support the initiative too. Thank you for your time.”
