Bringing neighbors together has always been a part of Will and Coral Frischkorn’s philosophy at Cured, their tiny European-style cheese shop on Boulder’s East Pearl Street. Now, thanks to a roster of evening classes, dinners, and in-store events, fans of Cured’s artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, boutique wines, and freshly roasted Boxcar coffee, are pulling up a chair to learn more about what’s really in their picnic baskets.
April brings classes such as “Advanced Meats,” which teaches the ins and outs of salumi making, demystifies butchery, offers tips for charming your local meat monger, and provides cooking suggestions (bacon jam!).
That's only $1 per issue!
In May and beyond, Cured woos the turophiles (cheese lovers) with evening programs including “Cheese Basics,” “Cheese and Wine Pairing,” and “I’ve Got the Blues.” And don’t miss the chance to pull all your food facts together in this summer’s new class “Preserving the Right to Picnic.”
Tip: Sign up for the pop-up dinner on April 23 when Cured teams up with Boxcar Coffee, the Pinyon, Pizzeria Basta, and the Tasterie Truck to raise needed funds for the Growe Foundation. 1825-B Pearl St., Boulder, 720-389-8096
