U.S. Attorney John Suthers has been confirmed as Colorado’s new Attorney General, replacing newly elected U.S. Sen Ken Salazar who’s gone to Washington where he has been busy opposing President Bush’s social security plan and supporting Alberto Gonzales.
Troy Eid reportedly is the front runner to replace Suthers as Colorado’s U.S. Attorney. Colorado Pols reports that appointment may have hit a snag over an investigation into his post-Owens lobbying activity. Ultimately, Pols expects Eid to be confirmed.
