This fall in Colorado has been unseasonably warm, save for the record-breaking cold snap that slammed the Front Range in mid-November. But the seemingly never-ending seasons shouldn’t be surprising. Most climate scientists agree that as average temperatures continue to rise, the seasons will grow longer. At Sol Y Sombra farm in Hygiene, Colorado, frost is visible on the leaves of the organic produce, even as Old Man Winter seems to be holding off its deep chill—for now, anyway.
