Breaking: Via 7News on television: Northern Colorado and the much of the Denver area are on a tornado watch until 8pm this evening. There are two separate storm cells. Denver likely will just get a storm but golf ball size hail is possible. Anheuser-Busch and the University of Northern Colorado are on lockdown and parts of Route 85 are closed. A tornado touched down four miles west of Dacondo, and others in Gilchrist and Windsor. Police are asking that drivers stay out of the Windsor due to tornado damage. The town hall has been evacuated. Larimer County is on a severe thunderstorm watch. Boulder and Weld just had their tornado watches lifted. Another tornado is forecast for northwest of Akron. It’s racing at 50 mph and will cross I-76 very shortly. There is baseball size hail there. 40,000 already are without power. What should you do if a tornado comes? Head to the basement.
