No matter the season, if you’re vacationing in Crested Butte, your plans (hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, snowshoeing, horseback riding, ziplining) likely require a hearty breakfast. Izzy’s knows this, and boy, does the homespun eatery deliver. Once you navigate the long wait, plate-size blueberry pancakes and breakfast wraps promise plenty of fuel for your packed day. But the narrow, bright red shack’s breakfast latke wins the prize for most unique combo. The massive potato pancake arrives topped with fried eggs and American cheese (spiced vegetarian bean sauce and sliced avocado, too, if you opt for the “Mexicali” variety). Add a cup of coffee from local roaster Camp 4 Coffee, and you’ve got the perfect foil for this get-your-day-started meal.
