Rep. Tom Tancredo is having a fundraiser Feb. 25 for his exploratory presidential committee. Peter Boyles will be one of the emcees. Does Boyles really think Tancredo can win? Of course not.

“He doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell, but what he can do is affect a platform of their (Republican) ticket on illegal immigration,” Boyles said in an interview Thursday.

Surely there are less expensive ways to get Tancredo’s message out. He’s written a book, gets face time on Fox News and every outlandish statement he makes ends up in the media.

Maybe he should use the money to buy his constituents a real representative in Congress….one that’s not flying off to Iowa, New Hampshire and even “third world countries” like Miami on their dime.

Or maybe people just like to throw their money away.
