Boulder’s Fabrizio Zangrilli will lead 10 climbers in the first-ever commercial trip up the Himalayan peak K2, writes The Denver Post. The 10 climbers are experienced in their own right, but each is paying $11,500 to have Zangrilli lead them to the summit of the world’s second-highest mountain. K2 can prove just as deadly as its famed cousin Everest. In 1986, 27 people reached the mountain’s peak. Thirteen died trying.
