Canada geese certainly like Colorado–maybe too much. The waterfowl have become something of an invasive species, and the National Wildlife Research Center in Fort Collins has a solution: birth control. That’s according to the Northern Colorado Business Report, which reports that Governor Bill Ritter presented the 2009 award for research impact to the U.S. Agriculture Department center yesterday for its work on an oral contraceptive for pesky geese, ducks, and pigeons.
