You won’t find any J.K. Rowling inside Golden’s newest library. Rather, the city will debut a repository of bicycles—not books—in the Golden Visitors Center on June 22, Denver’s annual Bike to Work Day, to encourage tourists and residents to ditch their cars. From cruisers for downtown errands to mountain bikes for adventure to tiny cycles for the tykes, the library boasts 40 models you can check out for a couple of hours or a few days. The daily rate is less than $10, but it’s free if you bring your bike back within two hours. Plus, librarians offer tips about navigating Golden or the nearby Clear Creek trails—and (probably) won’t shush you.
