What: Bronze, stone, and glass sculptors gather in Loveland for America’s largest outdoor sculpture show, the Loveland Sculpture Invitational and Sale.

Why: A stately sculpture is the perfect, low-maintenance way to spruce up a yard dying in the Colorado heat.

What: Creole singer John Boutté pumps out his soulful jazz and fiery gospel for New Orleans at the Vineyards, a Southern-style party full of Cajun cooking and dancing.

Bonus: Proceeds benefit KUVO, Denver’s public radio station for Latin, jazz, and blues.

What: Denver’s premiere dance troupe, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, performs The Garden of Dance at the Botanic Gardens.

Why: Rarely do sunbathing and high culture fit into the same afternoon. But grab a seat near the outdoor stage and get two solid hours of both.

Bonus: Check out the Gardens’ ongoing Urban Nature exhibit, a collection of street-style murals.
