When brunch calls for a spectacular entrée, head to Katherine’s French Bakery, Cafe and Catering for quiche. Standing a full two-inches tall, the golden-brown beauties are cradled by a flaky crust and filled with tender, eggy custard.
French-trained chef Katherine Keeley Pappas offers an assortment of classic and innovative flavors, including the traditional quiche Lorraine; tomato, bacon, and feta; ham and cheese; a vegetable medley; breakfast sausage; and, my personal favorite, the Mexican chicken and jalapeño, which captures the chile’s full-bodied flavor without overwhelming heat. Available by the slice, you can also take a whole quiche home.
Tip: If you dine in, pair your quiche with a latte made with Coda Coffee Company’s Sonata coffee, a Denver roast that adds a hint of dark chocolate to a robust brew.
