Still feeling the sting from the Broncos’ early playoff exit? This Super Bowl Sunday, these five Denver bars are helping patrons numb the lingering pain with special deals and viewing parties of the big game.
Soiled Dove Underground or The Tavern Downtown
What’s more American than giant television screens, the Super Bowl, and all-you-can-eat buffets? Combine all three at The Tavern Downtown or the Soiled Dove Underground. Both bars will host parties with a special deal: For $35 (advance tickets), patrons can enjoy an eat-until-you-drop food bar that features pizza, wings, and chili, plus unlimited refills of Budweiser and Bud Light draft beers and well drinks. Tickets cost $40 at the door.
LoDo’s Bar and Grill
LoDo’s will have its “$4 You Call It” deal, which includes any alcohol they have in stock. There will also be raffles and prizes. You can brave the February cold on the outdoor patio (it has two flat screen TVs), or keep yourself cozy indoors while enjoying a shrimp bucket.
Blake Street Tavern
The wide, sprawling space of Blake Street Tavern offers enough space to roam, even with a packed crowd. Drink specials include 20 oz. glasses of Coors, Coors Light, and Blue Moon for $4. Or share a bucket of five beers with friends for $16. And if the Super Bowl turns into a blowout, there’s a slew of other games available, like skeeball or shuffleboard.
Chopper’s Sports Grill
Inside this Cherry Creek sportsbar’s party room, the Ravens’ Colorado following has found a nest to cheer on their beloved purple and black. Chopper’s has more than 50 HDTVs, and is offering $2 Coors Light pints, $11 pitchers, and $4 Shiner Bocks. Also try a drink off the “Beer +” menu, which infuses certain beers with cocktail recipes.
