MUSIC
What: Rocking guitar and witty lyrics rule in this concert pairing of music greats Richard Thompson and Loudon Wainwright III.
Why: Rolling Stone has declared Thompson one of guitar’s all-time best, and after 40 years of recording, Wainwright is still turning out popular new songs, including film tracks for Knocked Up and For Your Consideration.

What: Using modern tiles and vibrant paints, local artist Susan Wick has created a series of mosaic pieces and paintings for Interior Gardens, a show of her most recent work.
Why: In 2006, the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver awarded Susan Wick Artist of the Year.
Bonus: On Saturday, June 28, Weilworks, the sponsoring gallery for Interior Gardens, will throw a closing bash for Wick’s show. Stop by to meet the artist.

DANCE
What: The summer solstice dance performance IllumeNia II weaves nia—a blend of martial arts and dance movement—with tap dancing, African dance, hula hooping, samba, and more.
Why: IllumeNia choreographer Kendra Howard has taught Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. Watch now as she pulls together the talents of 30 Boulder women.
Bonus: From the glow sticks to the aerial dancing, kids love this show.
