If you’re looking for a new happy hour spot, check out the The Museum of Contemporary Art‘s Bartender in Residence where local mixologists craft signature cocktails on Wednesday evenings—through August 29—on the museum’s rooftop patio. While the entrance fee is waived for members, it’s a mere $5 for a non-member to enjoy the downtown view from the third-story deck.
This month’s bartender in residence is Kevin Burke, from Colt & Gray. Burke is focusing on drinks that use ice chunks or shaved ice to combat the heat, like the Fixed Lillet Cobbler (lillet rose apertiff, pineapple syrup, and lemon juice). Two other drinks that will soon be on the menu are the Brazilian Bramble (pictured above, Boca Loca cachaca, Briottet crème de cassis, and lime juice) and the Vermouth Julep (Noilly Prat extra dry vermouth, garden mint, and a scant spoon of sugar). (1485 Delgany Street; 303-298-7554)
That's only $1 per issue!
