If you have a conundrum between staying comfy yet wanting to dance (don’t we all?), then we have the solution: Pajama Party Silent Disco at the Denver Botanic Gardens on August 14. Every second Wednesday of the month from June to September, the Gardens hosts its Sunset Strolls as a way to entice visitors to its summer hours—open until 9 p.m. until October 1. In its two years, Sunset Strolls has brought some entertaining themes such as Latin Heat (pictured above), Great Gatsby, and Peace, Love, and Botany. But it’s pulling out the funk for its August 2013 edition.
The Gardens are calling in the experts at Silent Disco to man two DJ booths—each participant will snap on a set of wireless headphones from either booth, listen to that DJ’s disco jams, and dance until the party’s over—while wearing pajamas, of course. “Everyone’s dancing to different music, and everyone walking through has no idea because they can’t hear the music,” says the Garden’s membership manager, Michelle Reilly, who created the Sunset Strolls concept.
Bonus: Still think you can’t wear your furry footy PJs out in public? If you dress up, you’ll receive $1 off admission as an incentive.
