Last week, there was news of a new distillery opening in Lyons. Now comes word of another new brewery—well, sort of. Renagade Brewing Company, which first opened in the Art District on Santa Fe about a year and a half ago, has plans to open a second location just north of the intersection of University Boulevard and Evans Avenue, near the University of Denver campus.
The new, 2,000-square-foot spot will be known as the Renagade Publik House. Although Renegade won’t be brewing on site, they will have 20 craft brews on tap—five to eight of which will be Renegade beers. “We are very excited to be a part of the DU neighborhood and to offer residents of the area high-quality, handcrafted beer and food,” says Renegade’s chief beer officer Brian O’Connell. Esinem Designs—the same company that created the original Renegade tap room—will design the new location, which will serve a menu of gourment pizzas and salads. “We are exploring further options to make our pizzas creative and high quality,” O’Connell says. “They will be handcrafted and thoughtfully designed to accompany the craft beer selection and enhance the overall experience of the Publik House.”
The new location is scheduled to open in March.
