It didn’t take long for Australian-born designer Zoe Twitt to gain international recognition: Her environmentally friendly, namesake clothing line garnered accolades from GenArt and Women’s Wear Daily in just its first year (2010). Bolstered by the support, Twitt decided, after moving to Denver with her husband in 2012, to transform her business into an entire eco-chic lifestyle brand: Zoe Life. Now, in addition to her line of luxe basics (the clothing will be reintroduced on her website in November), she sells all-natural and chemical-free boutique beauty brands from around the world—and every product on the site has been personally researched and tested by Twitt.

With winter just around the corner, we asked the fashion and beauty guru to share her best skincare advice. (It doesn’t hurt that Twitt also has an envious peaches-and-cream complexion.) Her number-one tip: Now is the time to change up your routine, but the key to is to keep it simple. Instead of a complete overhaul, swap out some of your lighter summer skincare items in favor of moisture-rich products that promote anti-aging. Here, her easy, breezy guide to winter face essentials, in her own words:

Il? Face Scrub for Glowing Radiance. I like to think of this sensory scrub as a 2-in-1 mask and scrub. The intensely nourishing honey base fights inflammation, along with Damascena rose (also known as Damask rose), sandalwood, and Omega-6-rich blackberry, which is hand-harvested in the Cotswalds of England. $75, shopzoelife.com

Créme de la Mer moisturizing cream. A trusted favorite—and a true splurge—this cream is worth every cent. Its intense moisturizing properties make it the perfect foil for Colorado dryness. $160, nordstrom.com

May Lindstrom Problem Solver. This firecracker is my absolute must-have item for the chillier months. A weekly treatment for acne-prone skin, it comes in a concentrated powder form and foams when water is added.
