Going hand-in-hand with Colorado’s reputation for healthy living is the abundant roster of organic skincare lines coming out of the area. The latest one to cross my desk: Osmia Organics from Carbondale.
A former emergency physician, Sarah Villafranco applied her knowledge of both chemistry and dermatology to launch a line of nontoxic, ethically sourced natural skincare and body products. Handcrafted in small batches, Villafranco’s attention to quality is evident in everything from the thick recycled paper packaging to her divine scent choices. (The Lavender Pine soap’s fragrance has literally permeated my office—in a good way.)
Osmia is one of the few lines to bridge the gap between the organic world and luxury skincare, but that doesn’t mean it’s out of reach. Candid explanations on the website describe the packaging and ingredients, making Osmia totally approachable.
