Sometimes you need more than just a drink at the end of a hard day: You need one with an umbrella. For those occasions, head to Adrift Tiki Bar & Grill on South Broadway. Walk through the bamboo-lined door and you’re immediately lulled into vacation mode. Surfing movies play in the bar, friends lounge in booths, and lanterns light the space with a warm glow. The drink menu boasts more than a dozen tiki cocktails—all made with fresh-pressed juices. Try classics like the Singapore Sling or a fruit-forward banana daiquiri, or opt for a more esoteric option such as the Missionary’s Downfall (a nod to Don the Beachcomber, one of the country’s first tiki bars), which blends rum from Crested Butte’s Montanya Distillers with peach brandy, pineapple, mint, and lime for a sweet but balanced summer drink. This one comes with a wedge of pineapple, too—all that’s missing is the sand and sunscreen.
